Chad W. Ferris joins Signal Mutual as a safety professional with over fourteen years of expertise in petrochemical manufacturing. He graduated from Kirkwood Community College with an Associate Certificate in Entry Level Fire Fighting and an Associate of Science in Fire Science Management in 2008 and continued his education at Oklahoma State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology in 2010.
During his time at Oklahoma State University, Chad interned with the marketing and editorial department at Fire Protection Publications, as well as in the College of Agriculture. There, he played a key role in developing an outreach training program focused on grain engulfment prevention and technical rescue.
In his professional career, Chad has managed diverse safety programs and projects, including Contractor Safety, Industrial Safety, Process Safety Management, Emergency Response, OSHA Voluntary Protection Program, Fire Extinguishing and Suppression Systems, Industrial Hygiene, Construction Safety, and Human and Organizational Performance. He thrives in collaborative environments, working with strong and diverse teams to implement solutions that create sustainable health and safety programs aimed at reducing risk, liability, and cost.
In recognition of his expertise and commitment to safety, Chad holds multiple certifications, including Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH).
