2022 GM | Post Meeting Update

Post General Meeting update from Signal's Chief Executive Officer, Justin Gardner.

Dear Members, brokers/agents, and industry partners,

Thank you to all the attendees from across the country that joined us for Signal’s 2022 General Meeting. As noted during the introductory session, we were excited to introduce a new format for this meeting and hope that everyone enjoyed the update on the new management agreement, an abridged version of the “State of the Mutual”, and the risk management thought leadership from our guest speakers. Slides containing the material presented during the meeting, including the Supplementary Call accruals (based on the 9/30/21 financials), are linked below. 2021 Consolidated Financials are also now available and linked for reference.

We plan to continue this more thematic General Meeting approach going forward, focusing largely on issues that fall across the risk management spectrum for the Membership, coupled with a more abbreviated report on the Mutual’s results and operations. While this represents a slight deviation from prior General Meetings, we can assure you that the opportunity to network and connect with industry friends, Board Members, and the Managers will remain a critical element. Further, the AGM will remain the traditional, fun-filled, and family-friendly event that the Membership values. We look forward to seeing you at the Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World, on August 3-5th.

This has been an extremely productive few months for the Mutual. As previously communicated, we are excited to announce that the new management agreement transition has been successfully completed, after an undisputed approval vote (454 to 0) by the Membership in favor of the new structure and related by-law changes. Charles Taylor will continue to serve as an essential partner to the Mutual, and we sincerely appreciate their cooperation and partnership in executing a seamless transition. The new management model represents a natural evolution of the partnership structure with Charles Taylor, setting up the Mutual for its next chapter and advancing our objectives for improved governance structure, business alignment, operational efficiency, and key initiative execution.

We hope that you find the linked information and presentations a valuable part of your Membership. Should you have questions or wish to discuss any of the topics in more detail, please do not hesitate to reach out to your underwriter, safety manager, or me directly.

Best regards,

Justin Gardner
Chief Executive Officer
