The SMIA Safety Committee and Signal Safety Team have created a library of topics for Safety Meetings, or Toolbox Talks called Focus on Safety

USL&H, or United States Longshore and Harbor Workers' Compensation Act, provides workers' compensation coverage for maritime occupations, including work on navigable waters and adjoining areas.

Operational Alert: Fall from Height Head Injury 10 Feb 2025 Operational Alert’s, inform Signal Mutual Members of serious incidents or a significant near-miss within the Mutual. If you have similar operations, please share this Operational Alert with operation managers, supervisors, equipment operators, and all affected employees. It is imperative that management, at all levels review their operations for similar hazardous conditions, acts, and their controls.
