New Solutions at Work: Online Safety Form & QR Code Reporting, Rail Dock Fall Protection & GLOBO- Translation Made Easy

What is it? Solutions-at-Work or “SAW” are individual ideas where a Member of the Mutual looked at an existing hazard and, through their employee’s years of experience, knowledge, or creativity, developed a Solution to the problem that eliminated or reduced the hazard to employees and the chance of injury.

Please see below for information on these 3 new Solutions at Work:

Online Safety Form & QR Code Reporting

Creating online forms with QR codes is a quick and easy way to capture information from your workforce, and Signal Members can use QR codes to improve employee engagement in incident and near-miss reporting, hazard identification, and even through inspections.

Removable Rail Dock Fall Protection

Rail dock operations pose a fall risk to personnel and forklifts. Impractical and non-robust interim solutions were used to prevent falls from the warehouse rail dock: placement of empty rail cars or poles with rope. A robust, removable, and space-saving, engineered solution was needed and identified.

GLOBO- Translation Made Easy

Employers should consider ways to enable non-English speakers to report safety incidents, share ideas, and participate in workplace discussions. Everyone has valuable information to contribute, and the organization benefits when we include everyone in the conversation.
