Railcar Pounder: Pneumatic Solution for Bulk Railcar Unloading
Bulk solid materials such as white potash frequently compact inside hopper cars during transit, forming clumps of dense material that are resistant to flow and slow down or completely prevent gravity‑fed unloading. Historically, employees manually struck railcars with sledgehammers to loosen material, exposing them to impact hazards beneath railcars and ergonomic injuries resulting from muscle strain, awkward postures, and repetitive motion.
