PIT 360 Program

PIT 360 is a comprehensive Powered Industrial Truck safety and risk management framework designed for maritime operations.

The Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) program is designed to establish essential knowledge for the safe operation, proper use, and routine maintenance of PITs. It applies to all mobile, power-driven PITs used to transport, push, pull, lift, stack, or tier materials. In maritime environments, PITs may include forklifts, container top handlers, reach stackers, side handlers, front-end loaders, excavators, vacuum lift systems, sweepers, yard tractors, and other specialized equipment. The policies and procedures outlined in this program are intended to manage and reduce hazards associated with material handling activities across the workplace.
