F500EA Lithium Battery Encapsulator Technology: Maritime facilities across the United States increasingly handle equipment, tools, and cargo powered by lithium-ion batteries, ranging from handheld devices to electric vehicles and industrial machinery.
Hi-Visibility Personal Floatation Devices: While the overall number of fatal falls is tracked, the number specifically involving falls into water is not isolated in the same way. However, OSHA's accident search tool does contain records of incidents where employees have fallen into water and drowned.
Podium Ladders For Safe Work Platforms: OSHA regulations emphasize that basic ladders, like step or extension ladders, are not suitable for activities requiring two-handed operation, such as welding, due to the inherent risks of instability, restricted movement, and lack of secure tool placement. Specifically, OSHA standards (29 CFR 1910.23 and 1926.1053) prohibit standing on ladder tops or using side rails as platforms and require platform-type ladders for work involving high-heat tools or open flames.
Safer Box Cutters: Box cutters are a leading cause of workplace injuries, especially hand lacerations, which account for over 70% of cutting tool injuries. These incidents are often preventable and can result in significant costs, up to $40,000 per injury.
